About Ruth Kamenev
I paint in watercolours for the most part, but enjoy trying new things like batik, acrylics and alcohol inks, gravitating toward the natural world for my subject matter. I enjoy painting landscapes and still life but find that birds, animals and people, with their winning ways, inspire my work. I have decided to share this page with my muse, my inspiration - my mother, who painted in oils beginning in her 50�s, who found her passion and passed it to me long before she herself passed. Thank you so much for your comments, Vicki, especially the one about the simplicity of Hayfield. I am completely open to comments that help me grow as an artist and I still struggle with how much to put in or leave out of a painting. I considered a few crows - they might have added a bit of life to the scene. This reminds me to listen to my inner voice.
