I paint in watercolours for the most part, but enjoy trying new things like batik, acrylics and alcohol inks, gravitating toward the natural world for my subject matter. I enjoy painting landscapes and still life but find that birds, animals and people, with their winning ways, inspire my work. Thank you so much for your comments, Vicki, especially the one about the simplicity of Hayfield. I am completely open to comments that help me grow as an artist and I still struggle with how much to put in or leave out of a painting. I considered a few crows - they might have added a bit of life to the scene. This reminds me to listen to my inner voice.
