Transparent watercolour paintings have become one of the most appreciated and admired forms of art and new, vibrant, and permanent pigments are added to the ones that have been available for centuries. The paints lend themselves to images that make the most of their transparent quality, so what better way to feature that beautiful, see-through nature than to paint actual stained-glass windows. With clear, shining colours and simple lines and shapes, the revered quality of transparency becomes the main feature and focal point.

I paint in watercolours for the most part, but enjoy trying new things like batik, acrylics and alcohol inks, gravitating toward the natural world for my subject matter. I enjoy painting landscapes and still life but find that birds, animals and people, with their winning ways, inspire my work. I have decided to share this page with my muse, my inspiration - my mother, who painted in oils beginning in her 50�s, who found her passion and passed it to me long before she herself passed.
